You will work directly with me, Maddy, the founder of Made Line Jewelry.
I specialize in designing meaningful, long-lasting fine jewelry and engagement rings that feel special and unique, but are comfortable to wear everyday and classic enough that they won’t grow out of style.
The custom jewelry process can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make sure that you feel comfortable and that the process is fun and not intimidating!
Your piece will be designed and made in my studio in Santa Cruz, California.
THREE WAYS TO WORK WITH ME
Customize an Existing Design
You like a ring or other style that is already offered in the collection, but want to change 1-2 elements. This might be a stone size, a chain length, the stone type, the band width, or the metal type. I’m happy to make these small changes whenever possible. Please note that additional fees might apply.

Create a New Custom Design
You want a completely new style that you don’t see on my website. We start from scratch and work together to design something that fits your vision and my expertise. Custom work starts at $1000.
I recommend drawing preliminary inspiration through my current collection and Instagram.

Redesign Heirloom Jewelry
You have fine jewelry that you no longer wear or inherited fine jewelry that doesn't fit your style. I work with you to redesign a piece using your materials! Heirloom redesigns start at $800. Please note that there are limitations and I won't always be able to use your materials.

Custom Process
- To start the process, fill out this custom questionnaire. You will be contacted within one week to confirm your spot on the waitlist.
- Once your spot on the waitlist is confirmed, I will email you to schedule a 30 minute consultation call with me. We will discuss your vision, desired timeline, and more details about the design process.
- If we decide to move forward, I will email you a link to pay a non-refundable $500 deposit. This will go towards covering my initial design time and will be applied towards the final price of your piece.
- A few weeks after our design call, you will get an email with up to three design options and their price estimates. At this time, you’ll select your preferred design and can request one round of basic adjustments if need be (such as a change in scale or ring band width). If my sketches inspire a new idea or any significant changes, I’m more than happy to accommodate them. Please note that this will be considered an additional cost and will add time to the process.
- Once you've decided on your final design, you will get an invoice to pay 50% upfront, less the $500 deposit.
- I will start to make your custom piece! Custom orders take a minimum of six to eight weeks from design confirmation to finished piece, but can take longer, depending on the design.
